GovCIO Business Development / Capture Management Intern (Non-Technical) in Fairfax, Virginia

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Business Development (BD) / Capture Management Intern for the Summer of 2024 to support GovCIO's Health and Civilian Sector. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA and will be a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

GovCIO’s internship program is designed to provide on-the-job training and experience for college students in various fields. Our BD / Capture Management intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments. The intern will:

  • Develop a working knowledge of the department structure and processes.

  • Attend department and corporate meetings as assigned.

  • Collaborate with teams across the department as well as opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally throughout the business.

  • Support current business processes and assist with implementation of new business processes.

  • Assist in additional Business Development / Capture Management related projects

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Able to work 20 – 40 hours/week Monday through Friday during Summer 2024

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment to excellence

  • Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Completed coursework or pursuing or a degree in the area(s) related to Business Development

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

USD $20.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
