Actalent Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager in FAIRFAX, Virginia

Description:

Our client is a general contractor who specializes in aviation, schools, educational, commercial, government, hotel and hospitality as well as tenant fit outs and interior renovation. Their project management experience includes construction management/GMP projects, fast track tenant build-outs, interior renovations, design build and base building projects. They are currently seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for managing and directing the construction of various contracts within our clients portfolio. This individuals responsibilities will include the following:

-Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors

-Manage projects from bid to award to completion (ranging from $100k-$10M)

-Perform site inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents

-Manage the RFI and submittal process

-Create project schedules

-Bid new projects, scope reviews, coordinate with subcontractors for project estimates

-change order reviews, processing and negotiating

-Budget creation and tracking

-Marketing and business development

-Managing 2-3+ projects at a time

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  1. 2-5 years of assistant project management experience or PM experience in General contracting (someone who has just moved into a OM role, or someone on the cusp of moving into a PM role)

  2. Commercial interior construction experience with scheduling, RFIs, submittals, know how to bid jobs, ability to manage 2-3 projects at a time (1 main project while closing one and bidding one or two)

  3. Experience working on both interiors projects & new construction - Patner has an exciting & diverse project portfolio - so folks who are adaptable are critical
