Sevita Housekeeper and Cook in Fairfax, California

NeuroRestorative, a member of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Housekeeper/Cook

1 - FT Position (2 week set schedule rotation)

  • Located in Marin/Fairfax, CA

  • NeuroRestorative facility located on Sir Francis Drake Blvd

  • DAY / 7a-530p

  • 10 hour shift with overtime after the 8th hour

  • Pay on Demand

  • Home like setting

  • Every other weekend off (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)

You will help in our commitment to serve others by coordinating menus and preparing food for the individuals receiving our services. While also maintain the cleanliness of the facility.

    Cook expectations:

  • Review work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared according to patients diet

  • Prepare, season, and cook food

  • Inspect food storage and directs sanitary maintenance of kitchen and storage facilities

  • Review and adjust menu accordingly

  • Determine food quantities, labor, and overhead costs

  • Chart and communicate to nurses patients intake percentages of food and beverages

    Housekeeper expectations:

  • Clean and maintain all common areas including rooms, hallways, restrooms, windows, woodwork, light fixtures, and other work areas so that health standards are met and the home is neat and debris-free.

  • Maintain and clean floor surfaces, furniture, draperies, use shampooers, and empty trash receptacles.

  • Follow universal precautions and procedures regarding cleaners, hazardous materials, and infection control.

  • Disinfect equipment and supplies.

    Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 6 months of related experience in a healthcare facility setting

  • Active food handlers certificate

  • An acute attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines

  • Effective communication skills to manage relationships with patients, their family members and coworkers

  • Self-motivated and collaborative; a team player

  • Strong culinary knowledge and a commitment to excellent customer service

  • Active CPR or BLS certificate

  • A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
