Job Summary You will have the ability toestablish a centralized and comprehensive approach to measuring and monitoring conformance with pipeline and electric requirements as well as company policies to maximize public safety and mitigate risks associated with utility operations. The quality assurance analyst will be responsible for identifying utility process safety and operational risks, documenting workstream processes including control points, developing, and measuring control points, establishing quality assurance testing plans and analyzing the results, and working with the business to execute corrective action plans and improvement plans. Additionally, this position will facilitate investigations into process deficiencies during utility installation, operations, and maintenance. This position will monitor the effectiveness of work order management processes and benchmark key metrics. This position is responsible for supporting continuous improvement projects within the Utility Operations. Essential Functions Gather data needed to facilitate quality assurance testing. Performs Quality Assurance (QA) sampling in accordance with recommended ANSI sampling and inspection standards or other standards as appropriate. Executes quality assurance testing plans. Audits work performed by assigned business unit to ensure records kept in any records platform such as SAP, GIS or Mobile Data are consistent, complete and accurate. Perform research and make system updates to improve data quality. Compiles and analyzes data, prepares various reports used to evaluate effectiveness of existing processes and procedures. Recommends improvements to record management systems and/or work order processes to ensure the integrity of company records. Analyzes error reports and communicates results to maintain accuracy and compliance to business process standards and government regulations. Leverage project management skills to develop project plans, monitor deliverable progress, and ensure timely completion of projects with regulator communication to stakeholders to ensure solutions meet the business needs and requirements. Execution of the work could be completed alone or as part of a team depending on scope of the work. Creates and maintains open dialogues with departments, requests information and responds by providing suggestions, alternatives and assistance. Communicates the information to company personnel at all levels, including making presentations to management teams. Leverages relationships to identify opportunities for improvement and develops solutions to issues. Serves as a subject matter expert to research and develop responses for technical questions from division operations employees.
