$20.25 - $25.50 hourly, depending on experience

Job Description

This is a hybrid position working between two different departments. This position repairs, maintains, and installs, soft drink fountain equipment, beverage coolers, and vending equipment. Other responsibilities include servicing vending machines by collecting revenue, conducting inventory, and restocking needed products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

(Service Technician)

  • Assembles and prepares equipment to be installed in customer accounts
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation to diagnose issues
  • Dismantles devices to access, remove, and replace defective parts
  • Utilizes test equipment to identify defective parts
  • Operates company vehicles, forklifts, and special moving equipment to transport beverage equipment

(Vending Driver)

  • Drives company vehicle to customer accounts to service vending equipment
  • Loads vending truck in the morning with needed products for the day
  • Utilizes smart device to count money, inventory product, and re-fill machines
  • Physically re-fills machines to capacity, rotates products, and removes expired inventory
  • Cleans machines as needed, and reports any functional issues, or customer requests

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree(GED)
  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance(SR-22 insurance is not acceptable)
  • DOT med card required to operate vending trucks
  • Familiarity with common hand tools and must be mechanically inclined
  • Comfortable with smart devices and tablets
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Use of pallet jacks and hand carts are required to load and unload products and equipment
  • Frequently lift 25-50 lbs. and occasionally move by pushing or pulling up to 900 lbs. (loaded on a cart or pallet)
  • Required to regularly stand, walk, lift product from the floor to waist height, or from shoulder to overhead. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Will use hand to feel and operate tools and products. Listen to machines' mechanical operations.

  • Noise level is usually minor to moderate, and is occasionally high, depending on customer account
  • Work is conducted in customer businesses where our vending machines and beverage equipment are being utilized
  • Customer accounts will range between restaurants, bars, convenience stores, supermarkets, gas stations, office buildings and government buildings
  • Badges access to some accounts such as the military base, university, and the airport is occasionally required. Access badge is provided by the company
