Woodhaven Recovery, located in Factoryville, Pennsylvania and opening in late Spring 2024, is dedicated to providing specialized adolescent residential male continuum services. Tailored to meet the distinctive needs of teenagers, the program offers long-term residential support that seamlessly extends into young adulthood. Our teen program emphasizes integrated support, incorporating robust recovery principles, a dynamic high school program, engaging recreational activities, family education programs, and access to clinical support. Moreover, there is a strong emphasis on planning for the next step in each individual's journey. Complementing this, our collegiate recovery house is conveniently located in nearby Scranton, allowing our residents easy access to college and job opportunities.

Job Opportunity:

Overnight Staff This is an opportunity to join our team as an Overnight Staff member, ensuring safety, security, and support for our residents throughout the night. Responsibilities:

Stay Awake and Monitor Premises:

Remain alert and vigilant throughout the overnight shift.

 Monitor the premises to ensure the safety and security of residents.

 

Resident Check-in and Settling:

 Assist residents during the night.

 Settle residents into their designated areas and ensure a smooth transition to the overnight routine.

 

Counseling and Emotional Support:

Provide emotional support to residents as needed during the overnight hours.

Be available to listen and assist residents who may require additional support during nighttime hours.

 

Tidying Up:

Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized environment.

 Ensure communal areas are tidy and conducive to a comfortable living space.

 

Preparation for Breakfast:

Set up and prepare a continental breakfast for residents.

Ensure that the dining area is organized and ready for the morning routine.

 

Record Keeping:  

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of overnight activities and resident interactions.

 Document any significant incidents or observations during the shift.

 

Emergency Response:

Be prepared to respond to emergencies and follow established protocols.

Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.

 

Communication:

Provide clear and detailed communication during shift changes to update incoming staff on any relevant information.

Collaborate with daytime staff to ensure continuity of care.

 

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role or relevant field is preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to stay awake and alert during overnight hours.

Compassionate and empathetic approach towards residents.

Personal experience in recovery is highly preferred.
