Pacific Topsoils Inc Truck Driver in Everett, Washington

Pacific Topsoils Inc. has 10 temporary full-time Truck Driver openings in Everett, WA from 04/01/2024-10/31/2024. Drive gasoline or diesel powered solo and tractor-trailers combinations to safely transport and deliver landscape material from various production sites to homeowners, contractors, and numerous yards. Check truckload, quantity and type of material. Climb ladders to check loads and tarp/untarp load, when necessary. Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and after each shift and submit report indicating truck condition. Maintain driver log according to I.C. regulations. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for safe operation of commercial motor vehicle. 40 hrs/wk; variable shifts over 7 days a week; shifts may vary from 6AM-11PM; O/T as needed. $28/hr; O/T: $42/hr. A single workweek is used to compute wages due. Any deductions required by law made from biweekly paycheck. Optional deductions include: housing expense of $375/week. Req. no minimum education. No exp. required. Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Must have ability to interpret maps and road signs. Must be able to communicate in English. Pass pre-employment police clearance; post-employment drug testing. Employer requires pre-employment police clearance and post-employment drug testing to be carried out equally between the U.S. workers and the H-2B workers. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Offer to US workers same as to H-2B workers. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies & equipment required to perform job. On-the-job training will be provided. Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with all applicable Federal, state and local laws and regulations. If worker completes 50% of employment contract pd, employer will reimburse worker for transportation & subsistence(T&S) from place of recruit. to place of work. Upon completion of work contract/where worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide/pay worker's reasonable costs of return T&S back home/to the place worker originally departed to work, except where worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. Amount of transportation payment/reimbursement will be equal to most economical & reasonable common carrier for distances involved. Daily subsistence will be at least $15.46/day during travel to a maximum of $59/day with receipts. Return transportation will be provided if worker completes employment period is dismissed early by employer.
