Structural Engineer Everrett, WA Job ID: #68395 Pay Range: $77-88 12 month Contract DESCRIPTION: Responsible for research, planning, and performing comprehensive stress analysis for aircraft integration structures and interior accommodations (hand calculations and FE analysis). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Ability to perform classical stress analysis of composite and metallic structures. * Demonstrate proficiency in FEM idealization and good modeling practices using FEMAP, NASTRAN, or other FEA packages. * Reviews engineering drawings and models for structural integrity and compliance with FAA regulations * Supports customer and internal meetings as the stress engineering focal * Authoring and reviewing of stress deliverables which includes, but not limited to qualification plans (QP), interface loads reports (ILR), static test plans (STP), dynamic test plans (DTP), abuse test plans (ATP). * Conducts peer reviews of finite element models. * Coordinates with the integrated product team (IPT) as the stress engineering representative. . REQUIREMENTS * Work autonomously and provide technical guidance to a team of engineers. * Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals whose first language is not English. * Must be able to research and investigate structural design solutions and work independently. * Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. * Strong interpersonal pro-active skills and demonstrated success working in and contributing to a highly collaborative team environment. * Durability, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance knowledge is a plus.
