Senior Stress Engineer Location:Everett, WA Job ID: #68527 Pay Range: $80-90 an hour (w2 only) 12 month contract (Onsite) SR STRESS ENGINEER (P2 & P3) Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Structural Engineering the Sr.Structural Engineer will be responsible for research, planning, and performing comprehensive stress analysis for AIRCRAFT INTERIOR accommodations (hand calculations or FE analysis). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Ability to perform classical stress analysis of composite and metallic structures. * Demonstrate proficiency in FEM idealization and good modeling practices using FEMAP, NASTRAN, or other FEA packages. * Reviews engineering drawings and models for structural integrity and compliance with FAA regulations * Supports customer and internal meetings as the stress engineering focal * Authoring and reviewing of stress deliverables which includes, but not limited to qualification plans (QP), interface loads reports (ILR), static test plans (STP), dynamic test plans (DTP), abuse test plans (ATP). * Conducts peer reviews of finite element models. * Coordinates with the integrated product team (IPT) as the stress engineering representative. Other disciplines within the team include design engineers, electrical engineers, flammability engineering, purchasing, operations and program management. * Ability to explain and present analysis and assumptions in a rational manner to customers, leadership, and teammates. * Support the development and maintenance of functional work instructions, procedures, technical manuals, and guidelines. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Work autonomously and provide technical guidance to a team of engineers. * Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals whose first language is not English. * Must be able to research and investigate structural design solutions and work independently. * Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. * Strong interpersonal pro-active skills and demonstrated success working in and contributing to a highly collaborative team environment. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS * Experience in the aerospace industry, specifically with aircraft interiors. * Experience with CBA (Certification by Analysis) of aircraft interior monuments. * Experience with NX (formally Unigraphics) and Siemens Teamcenter * Experience with Qualification Test Programs for Boeing & Airbus programs * Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRB) or Production Line support * Experience in developing automaton tools using Excel API, Python, Visual Basic (.NET) Reason For Request: Additional Job Information: P2 * Bachelor's degree in engineering from four-year College or university and 4-5years related experience and/or training in product design; or equivalent combination of education and experience in product design.
