Responsibilities:

  • Provide numerical control, machining and programming technical experience.
  • Establish technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
  • Plan, create, verify and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work.
  • Plan and guide the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
  • Works under general direction.
  • Search for QTY 2 Composite NCP to provide Numerical Control Programming Expertise within the Pre-Cure / Green Part Space to support the manufacturing of detail parts within the 777 Composite Wing Center within the Everett site.
  • Create, verify, & revise Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry, and documentation that directs the operation of Optical Layup Template & Ultrasonic Knife Cutting equipment.
  • Provide machine operator instructions / documentation for automated or numerically controlled equipment's such as AFPs and ATLMs

Qualifications:

  • AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CATIA V5 is now a requirement
  • Composite Fabrication & Techniques
  • NC Traditional CAD / CAM Systems
  • Trim, Drill, AFP, ATLM Equipment
  • Composite Tooling (such as mandrels and fixtures)
  • Defect reduction, Root cause
  • Corrective action, Problem solving
  • Preferred candidates will have the following skills:
    • Pre-Cure Composites Manufacturing:
    • NS2/nesting experience
    • OLT (Optical Laser Template)
    • USK (Ultrasonic Knife)
    • Automated Fiber Placement (AFP)/Composite Tape
    • Laying Machines (CTLM)
    • Post-Cure Composites Manufacturing:
    • CATIA V5
    • Vericut
    • CATIA Advanced Machining Workbench
    • Trim and Drill of composite parts
    • Axis milling/machining of composite parts
