Meter Reader Pool (Time Limited) Job #15886 $34.00 Per Hour This recruitment is to establish a Pool of qualified candidates for future Meter Reader Pool (Time Limited) that we can draw from over the course of the next year (up to 12 months) as vacancies occur. This position is Time-Limited for up to 3 years (36 months) Basic Responsibilities Locates, reads and records readings of revenue generating utility meters and meters with interval data recording functionality for residential and commercial customers on assigned route, excluding meters within Substations or meters that are read by the Meter Department for billing data. Checks and reports unsafe or irregular conditions in and about service locations and reports defective meters; notes meters which cannot be read for follow-up; checks for and reports vacant premises and receives and reports customer complaints. Minimum Qualifications Education/Experience: • Highschool diploma or equivalent. License/Certificates: • Valid Washington State Driver's License, with good driving record. • Obtain CPR First Aid card within one (1) year of job start date. • Successful completion of testing and interview process. • Pass a pre-placement physical exam (to be done after verbal offer).
