Job Description Material Handler This positionis responsible for handling, picking, packing, and preparing a wide range of specific components, assemblies, and materials to produce modification kits in accordance with BLR Aerospace-issued Packlists and Standard Operating Procedures. The Material Handler performs a variety of equipment operating, inventory, and kitting duties such as part picking according to BOM/Pack list, assembling, inspecting, labeling, packaging, etc. to make and process parts and kits that meet BLR's high quality specifications, while following prescribed procedures. Job Summary Responsible for overall warehouse operations and activities including but not limited to: Pick, pack, and prepare various components for customer shipments Assist in managing inventory by participating in cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and coordinating stock adjustments with Production Control Operate forklift, hand-truck and other material moving equipment Transferring and transportation of all materials to designated locations Shipping & receiving, unloading & loading trucks, and checking-in and out material Conduct identification and damage inspections of incoming shipments Adhere to parts replenishment system for inventory and internal kit fabrication Follow Work Instructions and processes to ensure manufactured parts and kit content meet the company's FAA-approved Quality Management System Assist in the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to continuously improve operational efficiency Utilize company computer systems Manage and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Maintain a clean, organized and safe environment throughout the warehouse Identify and isolate product which does not meet BLR's Quality standards Receiving Data Entry Other related duties as required Required Skills and Qualifications High attention to detail and experience with inventory Accuracy in part selection and kitting, and cycle counts Experience operating a forklift Capable of standing for extended periods Lifting upwards of 50 lbs consistently Ideally, but not essential, experience in working in a manufacturing type of environment Self-starter requiring limited supervision, and able to perform job assignments with a very high degree of accuracy Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people. A keen eye for detail and a quality-focused approach to producing accurate work Required Experience and Education H.S.
