Job Description Design Engineer The Design Engineer will be the lead in coordinating the development of aircraft modifications aligned with the company strategic goals and comply with FAA certification requirements. Job Summary Develop 3D designs and drawing using Solidworks Work within the Product Data Management database to maintain integrated designs and revision control. Collaborate with all affected parties as an integrated product development team to develop a high value and high quality design for our customers Develop certification compliance reports as needed for submittal to the FAA Develop customer data such as installation manuals, repair manuals, service bulletins, etc Review and approve drawings and compliance reports. Protect and control BLR intellectual property Follow all company procedures and processes Any other assignments requested by the VP of Engineering Required Skills and Qualifications Demonstrated skills in 3D CAD design, preferably SolidWorks. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to represent the company in a professional manner are fundamental requirements. Experience with certification data submittals to the FAA is particularly desirable. Required Experience and Education BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering 4+ years of Aerospace Design experience preferably Structures design.
