UPMC General Maintenance 2-HVAC/Service Tech (Bedford) in Everett, Pennsylvania

UPMC Corporate is hiring a General Maintenance Technician 2- HVAC/Service Tech to join our team at UPMC Bedford. This role will work the hours of 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with rotating weekend and week days.

As a technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks to ensure the proper functioning and efficiency of HVAC systems. Your duties will include: Minor preventive maintenance of chillers, boilers and cooling towers. Filter changes in air handlers, terminal devices and fan coils. Clean coils and equipment.

You will also troubleshoot and repair any issues that may arise with the HVAC equipment and report any major problems to the supervisor. You will work in accordance with safety standards and regulations and follow the manufacturer's instructions and guidelines. You will need to have basic knowledge of HVAC systems, tools and equipment and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain/prepare job site/shop.

  • Clean, paint, and maintain mechanical and plant rooms/centers.

  • Minor preventive maintenance of chillers, boilers and cooling towers.

  • Filter changes in air handlers, terminal devices and fan coils.

  • Clean coils and equipment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Two years general maintenance-related work experience OR completion of a trade school required.

  • Military experience considered.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Driver's License
