As part GE Aerospace Engineering, the Lead Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical design, manufacture, and delivery of hardware used in the development testing of the next generation of narrow body jet engines. You will be required to push the boundaries of what is possible with the latest technologies and materials developed at GE Aerospace. This role is a part of the Advanced Compressor team reporting the team manager.

This position has the flexibility of optional hybrid schedule once fully trained. The hybrid schedule consists of working in the office minimum of 3 days per week and the option to work from home on the other days, based on team/project schedules.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute the design and analysis of compressors using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements

  • Provide technical guidance that influences outcomes to other people supporting tasks

  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned hardware consistent with engineering policies and procedures

  • Basic development of action plans, with guidance, to respond to issues/ problems

  • Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements

  • Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews with internal and external customers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college.

  • At least 3 additional years of experience in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering position.
