Summary of Responsibilities

This role manages the supply management formation and directs, plans, coordinates and oversees the activitiesof a team of procurement and materials professionals. It directs and supervises clerical, technical and administrative activities of general and/or specialized procurement and materials programs and performsrelated work as required. The Procurement Manager oversees negotiations and agreements with vendors forthe purchase of all materials, supplies, equipment and services, along with receipt, storage and distributionfunctions.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelors degree and 8 years of related work experience with at least 3of those years being in a leadership role. A Masters degree and 10 years of related work experience with atleast 3 of those years being in a leadership role are preferred.

The following skills are preferred:

  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communications skills are essential.
  • Purchasing experience in a mid-sized to large organization with a preference for experience in thecommercial nuclear power industry is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP and/or other procurement information management systems is a plus.
  • Certified Purchasing Manager Certification, (CPM), a Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management(CPSM) or a Chartered Institute of Procurement Management and Supply Chain Certification (CIPS) arepreferred.

  • The work location for this position is Urenco USA, Eunice, NM.
  • Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights andweekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
  • Travel Required: 30% of the time or less as required.
