Job Description Summary
Responsible for coordinating the flow of aircraft engine parts and related documents in support of GE Aviation Materials. These responsibilities include all shipping, receiving, stocking, physical inventory and proper disposal of aircraft engine parts and related documents.
Job Description
Verifies that all incoming and outgoing parts/ materials/ components comply with ISO 9001 International Standard, the Aviation Suppliers Association Quality System Standard ASA-100,
Performs physical inventory audits, updating inventory records and isolating defects.
Provides internal logistics support to maximize operational efficiency
Visually examines materials and accompanying paperwork for defects and sorts articles according to extent of defect. Accurately identify part numbers, serial numbers, and quantities and assure all match the accompanying paperwork.
Attached identification data onto article, and inputs required part history / part data into the local database.
Records factors causing materials to be rejected. Certify that all required documentation is with the received order or shipped order.
Perform receiving of all inbound materials and attached documents
Communicate order receiving discrepancies to the appropriate Buyer/Repair Coordinator for proper resolution
Assists in the loading / unloading and packaging / unpacking of outgoing / incoming shipments
Generates and records waybill information while utilizing common carriers shipping systems
Completes Commercial / Pro Forma invoicing process for domestic and international shipments
Ensure parts are stored accordingly to prevent damage and contamination
Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state and federal health and safety requirements. Comply with all internal policies and procedures identified by GE Aviation.
Use various powered equipment to complete the necessary task, such as sit down forklift, man up forklift, order picker, pallet jack
Maintains clean work environment
Performs other job duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma / GED
