We are looking for an amazing Shelter Service Specialist to join our talented ShelterCare Short Term Housing (STH) team. What we offer:

    ShelterCare is a non-profit that believes in "housing first", we meet people where they are. STH provides safe short term housing for program participants. Shelter Service Specialists provides daily support to participants in conjuction with their service plan and provides onsite support to both participants and other staff. The starting wage for this position is $17.86 to 18.48/ per hour, depending on a number of factors. ShelterCare offers a one-time $600.00 per year increase after 6 month and COLA increases.

    Required

  • Ability to drive agency vehicles

  • Ability to successfully pass a DHS background check

  • Compassion for the vulnerable populations we serve

  • Willingness and ability to work with individuals exhibiting mental health distress and symptoms

    Preferred

  • Prior social services experience is preferred
