Olsson Industrial Electric seeks a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team. The Accounting Clerk will perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks, including the processing of purchase orders, customer invoicing, and payroll time entry. A successful Accounting Clerk should have some familiarity with accounting procedures and be proficient with computers, software and typing. Job Responsibilities: - Ensure data is entered and managed with a high degree of accuracy - Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department - Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records - Reconcile accounts in a timely manner - Daily entry of financial transactions in database - Provide assistance and support to company personnel - Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies - Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws - Constantly update job knowledge - Perform other duties as required by the position Job Requirements: - At least 3 years experience in Accounting - Familiarity with basic accounting procedures - To work well with a variety of personalities - Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software - Hands-on experience with spreadsheets - Accuracy and attention to detail - Aptitude for numbers - To perform filing and record keeping tasks - Data entry and word processing skills - Well organized - High school degree, associate degree or relevant certification is a plus - Experience working in a busy construction office also a plus Hours and Pay: - Full time, Day shift - \$22.00-\$25.00 per hour
