JOB SUMMARY Prepare ceramic molds for casting paying attention to efficiency and to quality. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read PEI for instructions.
  • Lift ceramic molds.
  • Inspect molds.
  • Clean molds with air or water.
  • Dye-check molds for cracks.
  • Apply patch materials to molds and shell splits.
  • Apply refractory materials per PEI.
  • Cap and tag molds.
  • Cut patterns for molds.
  • Weigh molds to ensure they conform to PEI.
  • Document work in Oracle to report quality and move transaction.
  • Stage molds on cart per casting schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education : High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience : None
  • Certifications/Licenses : None
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Read. Write legibly. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, PEI's and Work Instructions. Basic problem-solving skills. Good interpersonal skills. Excellent team skills. Flexible. Safety conscious. Detail oriented.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Shop floor
  • Required PPE: Check for required PPE in areas you may be working in
  • Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant.
  • Steel toe shoes: Needed in all areas of the plant.
  • Thin gloves
