Job Description:

Design and execute a sourcing strategy for Hertz North America Rental Fleet service operations categories. Working directly with business stakeholders develop sourcing strategies that deliver continuous cost, performance and process improvement.

Starting salary is $105K; commensurate with experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design & implement a sourcing and program strategy for Hertz North America (RAC) automotive service operations categories

  • Lead and execute sourcing projects including strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations, risk management, contract execution, field launch and program management.

  • Identify & onboard new service providers that support fleet maintenance, repair, and uptime performance.

  • Design KPI tracking and analysis, merging/comparing supplier and internal data enabling measurement of cost and supplier performance

  • Continuously assess market conditions in order to assess impact on customer costs

  • Stay current with legislative requirements, ensure compliance within sourcing strategy

  • Drive continuous improvement through evaluation and implementation of supplier best practices

  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to recommend and execute continuous improvement strategies within the automotive service operations category

  • Manage a professional staff, collaborate with sourcing teams in Canada, Europe and other global markets to drive consistency in Hertz procurement processes

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA preferred

  • Professional Qualifications CPSM, CIPS, 6Sigma

  • 7 years + experience in sourcing & program management

  • Sourcing experience with a Fortune 500 company, a leading consultancy, or a large automotive service operations company

  • Proven experience in designing & executing end-to-end automotive service operations sourcing strategies that consistently deliver measurable bottom line cost savings

  • Proven track record in identifying and designing process improvements yielding enhanced sourcing solutions

  • Expert negotiator, solid knowledge of contract language and legislative requirements

  • Expert in the field of automotive service operations sourcing

  • Stays current with industry trends and legislative requirements

  • Results orientated, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization

  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal

  • End-to-end ownership skills from sourcing inception through new program launch

  • Strong ability to effectively manage in a matrix organizational structure working with multiple internal clients

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access tools
