Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries in Essex, VT is seeking a Sr. Specialty Gas Technician to work in the Facilities organization. This is a fully on-site, hourly, shift position. The individual will work a compressed week of 12-hour shifts, 7am to 7pm on a 2-2-3 rotation (D2 Shift). Some overtime is built into the schedule. GlobalFoundries in Essex, VT is a 200mm Semiconductor Manufacturing facility. This role is eligible for up to a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!!!

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily walkthroughs of specialty gas distribution systems to ensure proper operation.

  • Monitor and document supply parameters; as required perform toxic and non-toxic gas cylinder changes.

  • Manage inventory levels at multiple stocking locations.

  • Respond to and troubleshoot system alarms and controls.

  • Work in a team environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Associate's Degree or equivalent experience, candidates must pass a technical aptitude assessment.

  • Experience - Minimum 3-5 years in related or mechanical field.

  • Fluency in English Language – strong written & verbal communication.

  • Physical Capacity Demands – ability to lift 30 lbs and wear a respirator, standing / walking for up to 8-10 hours at a time.

  • Wear a cleanroom suit and personal protective equipment for cleanroom environment, as needed.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Chemical Engineering or similar.

  • 5 + years' experience, and or education, in facilities systems such as high purity gas distribution, water treatment, water purification, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, chilled water and glycol chilled water, compressed air, chemical distribution, and control systems is desirable.

  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong planning & organizational skills.

Expected Salary Range

$42,400.00 - $76,300.00
