We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Global Controller within our Finance team to help support our Hydraulics business. Our aim of developing and maintaining long-term relationships with our customers means that you can rely on our comprehensive technical expertise and top quality innovative products. So, what will you do as Global Controller?

  • Leadership role in accounting processes for the branches on a global level.

  • Ensures all branch sustains and continually improves its Internal Control Environment. Ensures that all policy and procedures at different branches adhere to a system of internal controls.

  • Leading role in the financial close and reconciliation process, accountable for accuracy and compliance on a global level.

  • Continually improves business processes to drive increased efficiency and higher quality in the FP&A capability at global level.

  • Ensure that global statutory reporting and tax authority requirements are met.

  • Serves as a primary point of contact with FP&A, Business Analytics and Corporate Accounting, addressing questions and reporting needs.

  • Leads, develops, and coaches direct reports and their teams.

    To Be Successful You'll Need

  • Post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; Professional designation

    (CMA, CPA) preferred

  • 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 4 years of managerial experience, experience in working on a global level

  • Experience in financial close, internal controls, internal and external audit management, ad hoc analysis,

  • management reporting, accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), taxation, treasury, working capital, cash flow

    management, costing and financial planning on a global level

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Strong communication skills and leadership abilities, employee development experience
