Exact Eye Care is looking for a part-time of full-time Optician or Paraoptometric Technician in Escanaba, Michigan. Optical experience is preferred. If you are searching for a friendly, positive and upbeat place to work please apply at Exact Eye Care.

Duties include:

  • Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and personal preferences.
  • Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit and alignment of eyewear.
  • Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and frames that best suit their needs.
  • Adjust and repair eyewear as needed to ensure optimal comfort and vision for customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer prescriptions, orders, and payments.
  • Bill various insurances and understand vision discount plans.
  • Answer phones, make and confirm appointments, direct calls, and take messages.
  • Collaborate with optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care services.
  • Initiate patient exams, measure and record visual statistics, and perform diagnostic procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in eyewear technology, lens materials, and fashion trends.

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • ABO Certified preferred but not required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Communication skills
  • Sales skills
  • Basic math skills
