What do you contribute?

  • In your new role you will be working in a cross-sectional function within the engineering of our modern and environmentally friendly high-speed and intercity trains. You will be responsible for validating the development process and the software of the central vehicle control system.

  • The aim of the job is to plan and carry out the validation and evaluation of processes and process results, whereby you will make a decisive contribution to the development of high-quality software solutions for our rail vehicles and to ensuring their functionality.

  • You will plan and carry out the validation of the vehicle control software in the role of validator in accordance with DIN EN 50128 / 50657.

  • In addition, you will support the project managers (f/m/d) and team leaders (f/m/d) of the vehicle control software on the way to the expert opinion and check the results of the individual project phases.

  • You will carry out tests as part of the validation process and support the release of the software for passenger operations.

What do you bring along?

  • The basis of your success is a completed Master's degree / diploma in electrical engineering, information technology or a comparable field.

  • You also have several years of professional experience in software development in a safety-relevant environment, preferably in the railroad industry in accordance with DIN EN 50128 / 50657 / 50126.

  • You have sound experience in the test environment, error and document management, as well as requirements analysis.

  • You have good knowledge of communication, analysis and automation software, as well as one of the following programming languages: Python/Java/KOP/AWL/SCL.

  • Ideally, you have knowledge/experience with Profinet, Simatic Step 7, Sibas PN, as well as simulation, modeling or configuration management.

  • You have very good written and spoken German as well as good English skills.

  • You also have project experience in the field of interface and system testing.
