In the group “Protection, Operation and Control” (POC) within Siemens PTI we are seeking support. If you want to actively contribute to the energy transition in Germany and worldwide and you feel comfortable with some of the following bullet points, you should apply as soon as possible.

  • You are performing power system studies (load flow, short circuit, dynamic behaviour, stability)

  • Furthermore you are performing protection coordination studies

  • You are also designing system protection schemes (WAMPAC)

  • Additionally you are testing control and protection strategies in real-time laboratory (RTDS, SICAM)

You should bring some of the following skills:

  • You have a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on energy topics, a PhD can be an advantage

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in protection system domain (ideally in the protection hardware in the loop testing)

  • You can characterize yourself with an out-of the box thinking

  • You are willing to continuously develop and learn new things

  • You have experience with power system simulation software, e.g. DIGSI, PSS E, PSS SINCAL, Power Factory, PSCAD, RSCAD or NEPLAN

  • Being a team player with strong intercultural sensitivity describes you best

  • And lastly you are communicating fluently in German and or English language
