GECAC - Greater Erie Community Action Committee Program Assistant in ERIE, Pennsylvania

GECAC is the largest anti-poverty organization in Erie County, PA. With a budget of approximately $12 million and more than 110 staff, we help people and change lives on a daily basis. GECAC helps people throughout Erie County break the cycle of poverty, be self-sufficient and achieve financial independence. The work schedule is Sunday -- Thursday, 5 hours per day, except during the Onboarding process, from April 2024 -September 2024.

Job Summary:

  • Monitors and reviews youth employee timesheets every week for accuracy
  • Ensures that youth employee timesheets are ready for submission to Finance
  • Keeps track of youth employee hours
  • Maintain positive working relationship with employer
  • Maintain and update files for youth employee and employer participants
  • Participate in orientation sessions as required
  • Input participant data into database as required

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally, in writing and via Zoom or Teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Flexible schedule
  • Must have own transportation, with valid PA driver's license and auto insurance as required

Additional requirements:  Act 33, 34 & FBI Clearances. Must meet Immigration Law requirements.

Pay is $16.00 per hour.
