GECAC - Greater Erie Community Action Committee Part-Time High School Spanish Teacher in Erie, Pennsylvania

Position: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Spanish Teacher to join our team. This role involves working with students aged 14-18, helping them explore the depths of the Spanish heritage and language.

Job Summary:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the educational needs of students.
  • Facilitate learning for diverse classrooms and provide individualized instruction to support all learners.
  • Assess and record students' progress and provide feedback.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Participate in faculty meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
  • State teaching certification (preferred).
  • Experience teaching Spanish to middle or high school students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Hours: 12 Saturday sessions (2 a month from November to May) 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

Location: Mercyhurst University Center for Academic Engagement

Compensation: Pay is $25.18 /hr.
