Responsibilities:

 

  • Review of civil engineering plans, including public infrastructure, private, commercial, and residential development plans to ensure compliance with relevant codes
  • Design and prepare calculations and specifications for various water and wastewater projects, including utility pipelines, storage facilities, pumping stations, and treatment facilities
  • Prepare project plans for process water/wastewater, instrumentation and controls, site plans, and utility plans to support project approval and construction
  • Support in preparing technical reports
  • Conduct field investigations to assess site conditions
  • Evaluation and review of stormwater management permits and plans
  • Participate with construction administration including project meetings, shop drawing reviews, reviewing and responding to RFP's
  • Attend meetings, including staff meetings and municipal board meetings, as needed
  • Assist in preparing punch lists and completing periodic site visits
  • Mentor junior staff

Qualifications:

 

 

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering with a PA P.E. license
  • 5 to 15 years of experience with Pennsylvania regulations specific to sanitary sewers, wastewater treatment, water supply systems, roads, grading, drainage, and municipal engineering
  • Knowledge of various construction means and methods
  • Ability t work within multiple design teams and meet demanding schedules
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
  • Proficient in WaterCAD and SewerCAD or similar software

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
  • Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
