Position Summary :

Layout, development and fabrication of various piping and structural iron and sheet metal, including weld and flame burn repair.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, erect and rig iron work, sheet metal and pipe from blueprints

  • Troubleshoot and maintainsteam, water, gas, hydraulic, sprinkler systems

  • Repair pipes for leak free seam

  • Work as a team to solve problems, plan and execute jobs accordingly

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 7+ years manufacturing experience

  • 2+ years of mechanical repair experience

  • Ability to weld - Stick, MIG, TIG and Flux Core

  • Ability to read complex blueprints

  • Ability to understand complex math functions including decimals and fractions

  • Must be willing and able to work any shift

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Mechanic and Repair Technologies

  • Weld Certificate

  • Self-directed individual

Functional Requirements:

  • Ability to climb repeatedly and work from heights off ladders, platforms and scaffolds

  • Repeated bending, reaching above head, climbing and kneeling

  • Repeated straight pulling and pushing

  • Prolonged standing and walking

  • Walking on slippery or uneven surfaces

  • Exposure to constant noise 90 DBA

  • Able to distinguish basic colors

  • Exposure to fumes/smoke from burning, paint vapors, and dust

  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 45+ lbs

  • Must be willing to work in tobacco-free environment
