Job Description Summary

The EMEA (Sr) Manager Business Process – Transportation is a member of the EMEA Business Process Transformation organization, accountable for driving process excellence and development of capabilities within the Transportation area.

You will play a key role in developing and implementing a multiyear portfolio of initiatives in the transportation area to improve service, drive efficiencies and support EMEA growth.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Director, Business Process Supply Chain and will work in close partnership and alignment with the Director, EMEA Logistics to build a prioritized roadmap of impactful transformation initiatives and align on solutions to simplify processes, drive greater efficiency across our operations and enable EMEA Supply Chain to better meet our business objectives.

Main responsibilities will include:

Strategically

Work in close partnership with the Functional Lead, the Business Process Transformation Organization and the TGS (IT) organization to:

  • Develop a multiyear portfolio of initiatives in the transportation area to simplify processes, drive improved efficiency and help to meet our business objectives.

  • Work with Functional Lead and other EMEA SC LT members to understand business/operational objectives and solve business problems.

  • Develop, design and implement process changes, drive policy harmonization and champion key technology changes that will simplify the organization and improve our capabilities.

Project management

Effectively lead projects and deliver expected portfolio outcomes.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure accurate understanding of requirements, opportunities, gaps and potential solutions, incl. the ability to create compelling business cases in partnership with Finance.

  • Design targeted solution and execute, in partnership with our TGS (IT) Function, against key milestones and deliverables (incl. change management)

Change request management.

Effectively manage all requests for technology/system improvements in the Transportation Function. Work in close collaboration with the Functional Lead on a prioritized list of requests to be executed by TGS (IT).

Incident management

Provide support and expertise across the Transportation Function in order to address major incidents impacting our daily operations, quickly root cause, and work in partnership with TGS (IT) to incident remediation.

About you

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in the area Business Administration, Supply Chain and Logistics, Engineering, Information Technology, or related degree with proven experience

  • Extensive experience in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Operations, or Business Transformation (preferably within a management consulting role)

  • Experience with Transportation Management and have a solid understanding of the Order Fulfillment process.

  • Excellent knowledge within the SAP S4 Hanna ecosystem, preferably in the area of logistics/transport (S/4 Transportation Management, ECC LE-TRA, Centiro)

  • Project management experience/knowledge is a surplus.

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Good leadership attributes and experience managing in a matrix organization.

  • Experience effectively collaborating with others and can motivate change without direct authority.

  • Ability to engage stakeholders and influence them towards recommended solutions & strategies.

  • Agile & results driven and can work independently and in ambiguity.

  • Fluent in English and ideally Dutch/other language skill are a plus.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
