Enjoy team building, special events, and our faM1ly atmosphere Join a company that grows with you - personally and professionally The purpose of the Customer Service Specialist position is to provide excellent member service by expanding account relationships and resolving account related problems, questions and issues over digital channels and the phone to ensure high levels of membership satisfaction with the Credit Union products and services. This role has no budgetary responsibility, has moderate supervision of work, and requires a significant level of trust and strong attention to detail in order to perform the essential job functions. The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for providing account services and promoting products and services. This includes providing technical support for banking platforms, providing member support for fraudulent, high-risk transactions, and account maintenance. This includes, but is not limited to, providing members with account information, account maintenance, assisting with troubleshooting mobile banking issues. Assisting members with financ al services needs in addition to researching complex member issues. Processing Certificate Maturity Notices, resolving ATM, ACH, and Debit Card disputes, reviewing stop payments, and assisting members with wires and account security. This position is also responsible for providing member education and cross selling appropriate services. EDUCATION: General and business knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of related experience in retail financial services and customer service SKILLS: * Strong analytical, ingenuity and problem-solving skills * Strong written communication and interpersonal skills * Decision making requires judgement and ingenuity * Strong organizational and time management skills * Solid consulting ability * Technical and professional knowledge of retail banking products policies, procedures, and industry regulations PREFERENCES: * None CORE COMPETENCIES: * Effective knowledge * Accountability and self-management * Teamwork and leadership * Communication * Innovation and problem-solving WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing * Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading * Ability to sit for extended time periods * Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment * Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel * Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects #LI-DS1
