Responsibilities

St. Mary’s is a 229-bed, acute care hospital located in Enid, OK. St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center has served the healthcare needs of northwest Oklahoma for more than 100 years. We host more than 125 highly skilled physicians offering specialties in Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, Rehabilitation, Laboratory, Women’s Imaging, Wound Care, and more.

Position Summary:

This position is a dual role as a Clinical Registered Dietitian (24 hours per week) and Food Service Director (16 hours per week) in Training. As a Clinical Registered Dietitian, this person will provide nutritional care for patients, develop and implement nutritional education programs for the medical center and community, and assist with in-service training and quality improvement programs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates the ability to screen patients for identification of nutritional intervention.

  • Exhibits knowledge to integrate clinical, anthropometrics, laboratory, social, psychological and nutrition data into assessment, identify modification of food/nutrient intake and route administration.

  • Records pertinent patient nutritional care documentation in medical record and validates patient charges for nutritional care.

  • Develops and implements nutrition care plan based on objective data from nutrition assessment.

  • Evaluates and adjusts as necessary based on outcome of care and continuous monitoring of patient’s needs.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

  • BS degree in Food, Nutrition, or Dietetics required.

  • Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian (LD) licensing required. Oklahoma Medical Board licensure can be applied for and work performed under the Food Service Director during first several months of work.

  • One-year experience as a dietitian in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Good written and oral communication skills required.

  • Typing and basic computer skills required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
