Labcorp Technician - Clinical Trials - Second Shift in Englewood, Colorado

Are you an experienced Medical Lab Professional? Are you looking to embark on a new challenge in your career, or start your career in Medical Lab Science? If so, LabCorp wants to speak with you about exciting opportunities to join our team as a Technician in Englewood, Co. In this position you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives".

Schedule : Monday through Friday from 3:30pm to 12:00am. Overtime required depending on business needs.

Pay Range : is $21-$25/hr. Plus a second shift differential.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Participates in specimen testing according to established procedures working under the technical oversight of a Clinical Lab Scientist.

  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment, documents PM appropriately, makes minor repairs and immediately contacts appropriate personnel for problems requiring more complex repairs.

  • Documents all activities as necessary including preventative maintenance logs, instrument function checks, troubleshooting, and quality control to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Pipettes samples and reagents using calibrated and approved automatic syringes and dispensers.

  • Records dates of receipt, in use, and expiration for all reagents, kits, controls, and standards used for assigned assays.

  • Demonstrates and develops an ever increasing understanding of laboratory medicine and the clinical significance of laboratory results.

  • Troubleshoots simple assay problems and provides suggestions to management as warranted.

  • Trains lab personnel on departmental procedures and company policy and procedures.

  • Adheres to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Labcorp, CLIA, CAP, ICH GCP, and other regulatory bodies.

Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Science field of study or a related Scientific field

Required Work Experience:

None required. Previous laboratory experience in an academic or commercial environment is preferred.
