Play a critical role in the software development team, guiding and overseeing the technical aspect of Travelport's products. Design, develop, maintain, integrate, and deliver Javascript components and Cloud Services in an agile, test-driven development environment following best Code and CICD practices in a Cloud based - Microservices architected application. Perform frequent code reviews amongst the team. Write and run automated test scripts using test framework and maintain web components and services. Apply BDD and TDD principles as part of the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions in the travel domain. Participate in release activities and deployments. Collaborate on features sizing, user stories refinement and planning, being able to translate requirements into technical stories and reviewing features to ensure acceptance criteria are well defined. Apply design patterns and concepts, including scope, to architect scalable and maintainable software applications. Write efficient, testable, and reusable code using .NET, C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET, and related technologies. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, XML, SOAP, REST, and GraphQL services to enable seamless integration with various systems. Proactively work with the team to improve the CI/CD and automation capabilities. Implement robust testing frameworks using Jest, React Testing Library, and xUnit to ensure the reliability and performance of software applications. Contribute to establishment and enforcement of standards and best practices. Work with cloud technologies, particularly Azure, and utilize monitoring and logging tools such as Application Insights, Splunk, and AppDynamics to optimize software performance and troubleshoot issues. Collaborate with key stakeholders (Quality, Architecture, Security, Product Management) and identify the optimal technical approach and contribute to the full solution design. Collaborate with database systems like SQL Server and MongoDB to develop efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms.
