SUMMARY

Circuitus Energy Solutions (CES), based out of Englewood, Colorado, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to perform construction tasks such as clearing and grubbing, soil excavation, grading, and backfilling for commercial and utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects. The Operator's primary role is to operate heavy construction equipment, such as excavator, backhoe/loader, dozer, pile driver, skid steer, and roller compactor. The Operator will work closely with field teams and subcontractors. An organized, accountable individual with a desire to learn, strong work ethic, and an ability to work well with others is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include:

Operate heavy equipment such as excavator, backhoe/loader, dozer, pile driver, skid steer, and other earth moving equipment in a safe and efficient ma

Coordinate mobilization of all heavy equipment and load/unload materials in designated areas

Use earth moving equipment for tasks such as clearing and grubbing, soil excavation, grading, and backfilling

Rig/secure loads and equipment on trailers for transport

Demonstrate an understanding of grades and slopes to interpret plans and drawings

Awareness of underground utilities as well as overhead hazards such as electrical wires, enclosures, and personnel

Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload

Inspect working environment before work begins to ensure safety to all

Maintain safety, record keeping, and security protocols on job site

Oversee cleanliness of machines, fueling, lubrication, servicing, and maintenance

Monitor any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions and help take measures to fix

Effective communication and maintain good morale onsite by treating others with respect

Perform other duties occasioned by new circumstances and procedures logically associated with this position

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of experience operating excavator and dozer

Pile driving experience preferred

Clean and valid driver's license

Valid CDL or willingness to obtain CDL upon employment

Ability to perform basic maintenance to equipment such as oil and filter change, fuel filter change, grease fittings

Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot issues

Ability to visualize a layout by looking at plans and prints

Ability to work outside on irregular surfaces, stoop, bend, reach, climb stairs and ladders, and occasionally move and/or carry equipment weighing up to 60lbs

Strong sense of personal responsibility for fostering a safe workplace by following safety policies and procedures

Motivated, highly organized, punctual, professional, and detail-oriented self-starter

Effective written and verbal communication

Ability to work well independently as well as in a team

Working knowledge of Google Drive Applications

40-50 hours per week expected
