Volt is NOW HIRING an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist in Englewood, Co. This successful candidate will have 3+ years of Industrial Environmental Health and Safety experience with OSHA certifications.

Compensation: $75k Annual

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

Schedule: Monday-Friday / 8AM- 5PM

As an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist you will: Develops, implements, and monitors company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and may assist in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical). Recommends corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist. Interacts with others in the administration of the worker's compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions. Monitors industrial health compliance. Support service team by managing cloud browser-based safety applications (Browz, ISNet World, Sphera, TAPPISafe, DISA) and documentation that demonstra te our service team members meet the site-entry safety requirements to complete scheduled contracted services. Work directly with customers to verify our safety programs and OSHA records meet their requirements and continual evolving requirements. Tracking personnel site hours to meet Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) above ground regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Other responsibilities include reviewing contract specifications and requirements, occasionally creating service proposals, and completing instruments quality assurance tests report. This successful candidate will have: At least 3-5 years of industrial manufacturing industry experie nce, in an environmental health and safety role and/or training. Flexibility for rare occasional travel, which will be no more than 10% of the time Associate degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, four-year occupational safety degree Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Dynamics CRM, keyboard proficiency, good phone skills.
