Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to join our nursing facility team. The RN Unit Manager will be responsible for overseeing a specific unit within the facility, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing the nursing staff. This leadership role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise nursing staff on the assigned unit, including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

  • Coordinate and oversee patient care activities to ensure adherence to established standards of practice and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular rounds to assess resident needs, monitor care delivery, and address any issues or concerns.

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and residents' families.

  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, including assistance with complex patient cases and medication management.

  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to nursing staff.

  • Collaborate with other department heads and administrators to optimize resident care and facility operations.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to resident care, staffing, and incidents.

    Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the state licensing board.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff members.

  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing nursing facilities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred.

  • CPR certification required.

    This is an hourly position that pays $40 per hour with a $1.50/hr shift differential and includes overtime!
