Summary

The Quality Engineer Technician is responsible for determining product standards by establishing quality control systems and setting product requirement rules in line with governing standards (AWWA, ASTM, etc.)

This position will be a key resource in implementing effective quality controls, teach production staff how to use them, and supervisor outcomes. This position will also work with the Colfax, NC location to ensure consistency and manage projects related to Quality Control improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and determine quality improvement factors
  • Implements methods to inspect, test, and evaluate the reliability of the manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment
  • Ensure processes adhere to quality standards
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
  • Offers technical guidance and support in response to quality testing and analysis
  • Collaborates with various departments to ensure quality standards are met
  • Strong knowledge of governing standards such as AWWA and ASTM
  • Communication Skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Analysis, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements / Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 years of experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment or a combination of education and experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with lean six-sigma manufacturing principles and tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel as needed


Compensation

  • The hourly pay rate is $25 - 35 / hr
