Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Semi-Skilled Laborer (Wage) - Sizerville State Park Complex in Emporium, Pennsylvania

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resource's Sizerville Forest District is looking for individuals like you to provide skilled maintenance work on district roads, trails, and facilities. This is a chance to not only serve the public but also grow professionally and explore various promotional opportunities.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role involves carrying out semi-skilled manual labor for construction and maintenance duties at Sizerville State Park. The responsibilities include working independently or supporting a skilled worker in completing routine tasks related to maintenance and construction within the park. Tasks involve repairing buildings and facilities using various tools from carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other building trades. Additionally, responsibilities include operating, maintaining, and cleaning vehicles and equipment used in the park, as well as constructing basic forms for cement work, mixing and placing cement, finishing cement with mason tools, and building stone and block walls.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Seasonal full-time employment without benefits. The season runs from approximately March until November at which the employee is placed on leave without pay. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Condition of Employment:

This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
