Job Summary

As the Director of Dining Services at FRESH IDEAS on the beautiful campus of Emporia State University, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and nourishing environment for students, faculty, and staff. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing all aspects of residential food service operations while elevating the campus dining experience.

The city hosts events throughout the year, such as the All Veterans Tribute, Glass Blown Open (a disc golf event), and the Dirty Kanza bike race, which bring people together and showcase the city's culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains excellent relationships with the client

  • Ensures that the food offered to the client, customers, and employees of the operation is of superior quality

  • Guarantees management team and associate training and development

  • Drives profitability of the account

  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

  • Experience in CAMPUS/UNIVERSITY food service is required

  • BS Hospitality degree preferred

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting and computational practices preferred
