Senior Director, Assistant Controller
Currently working with a large mid-size publicly traded financial services company that is currently seeking a Senior Director, Assistant Controller for their Corporate Accounting team. This position will oversee a team of 4 direct reports (Manger/Senior Managers) and 10+ indirect reports for the department over a wide range of functions including corporate close, regulatory reporting, investment accounting, revenue accounting, etc. Will work closely with the Corporate Controller on special projects and be the right hand person within the department. Qualified candidates will have 12+ years of experience within accounting & finance including 5+ years of leadership experience. responsibilities:
Senior Director, Assistant Controller
Position will manage a team of 4 Managers/Senior Managers across a range of functions from Revenue Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Investment Accounting, etc.
This role will manage the monthly close process from end to end, leading the team, setting objectives, and supporting special projects for process improvement.
Position will run the audit functions and be the point person within the department for critical questions.
Will back up the Corporate Controller and work closely with CFO and CEO on various projects.
qualifications:
Qualification:
BS in Accounting, Finance or related field
CPA and public accounting experience
12+ years of overall experience
Financial Services background
Experience within corporate accounting as well as financial / regulatory reporting
skills: General Ledger
