Amergis Assistant Behavior Program Manager in Emeryville, California

The Assistant Behavior Program Manager (ABPM) is responsible for assisting the Behavioral Program Manager (BPM) with clinical oversight and quality of behavioral services provided to clients including the oversight, training, and/or direct management of all behavioral staff. The Assistant Behavior Program Manager is knowledgeable in behavior program structures and services in an educational setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts trainings to support behavioral services as applicable per Amergis and/or client requirements including: BT orientation, crisis training, BCBA onboarding, staff field training, etc.

  • Responsible for assisting with case assignment, management support, and direction for internal and external behavioral staff

  • Performs BCBA services including: IEP listed supervision, FBAs, BIPs, student/class observations, teacher consultation, and staff support, to support business growth as requested by the client/contract

  • Provides consultation to business development teams

  • Engages field staff in feedback discussions regarding job and service satisfaction

  • Investigates field staff concerns and issues, assesses job performance and provides coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action when appropriate

  • Leads and manages behavioral staff, assessing performance and providing development opportunities Identifies process challenges and develops solutions for improvement

  • Maintains knowledge of current industry regulations including federal, state, local contract, and program requirements

  • Participates in corporate initiatives as needed

  • Accountable to all federal, state, local contract, and Maxim requirements

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst

  • Certification Board (BACB)

  • Must meet all federal, state, local contract and program requirements, in addition to internal certifications and training, as required

  • Experience in quality management and budget management preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in hiring, training and employee development

  • Experience in regulatory audits such as The Joint Commission or other required contracts preferred

  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power Point
