Cummins Inc. On Site Service Technician - BUMA Blackwater in Emerald, Australia

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team specialising in engine repairs and maintenance. This is an on-site position for our Blackwater Mine site supporting our customer BUMA. Requiring to be on site at the Blackwater Mine Site directly representing Cummins.

$15,000 sign on bonus!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Deliver a first-class service to our mining customer at Blackwater mine site

  • Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the workshop and field

  • Diagnose and repair engines

  • Inspect and replace components as required

  • Engine rebuilding and reconditioning

  • Complete required documentation

  • Working on and maintaining OEM’s – Komatsu 930E’s Fleet, Hitachi & Cat Excavators

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards)

  • Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)
