Tracking Code 217711-072 Job Description Position Title: Tool & Die Maker Pay Status: Hourly Departments: Operations Position Relationships: Supervised by: Senior Engineer, Process Supervises: N/A Essential Functions: Demonstrates safe and proper set-up, use and inspection of equipment such as fixtures, jigs, dies, hand tools, power tools and bits, gauges and measurements, heat treating equipment, etc. Reads and interprets engineering prints and is able to perform mathematical calculations from a tool print or information supplied from other sources such as sketches, samples, etc. Builds dies, welds/brazes fixtures, drills fixtures, gauges, special machines and materials handling aids Assists in the repair and/or sharpening of dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and special machines Ensures repairs are accurate Participates in tool capability studies on new tooling Adheres to all departmental procedures on reporting time, materials, rework, etc. Adheres to all safety policies Performs predictive/preventative maintenance as necessary Performs job in accordance with regulatory requirements Maintains an organized and clean working environment Complete all required training applicable to assigned position Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
