Job Summary:

The Help Desk Technician is responsible for deploying IT applications and providing customer support. The role will support incident requests, servicing requests, and technical projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide Client Services Support which include 75% remote using IT Remote Tools.

  • Install and configure approved hardware and software in adherence to Crane Aerospace & Electronics rules and naming conventions.

  • Support upgrading and repairs of PC hardware and troubleshooting of PC software.

  • Support and troubleshoot business standard application software/

  • Perform migrations and workstation configuration maintenance using receipt of service checklist/

  • Support printers and VOIP technology.

  • Respond to IT Hotline Voicemails.

  • Strictly abide by processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Any other task assigned by IT Manager or Leadership.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Maintain inventory of spare parts.

  • Support special projects following IT Manager Project Plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years relevant experience in companies of comparable size and organizational complexity.

  • Knowledge: Technical knowledge of computer equipment operation, testing, and maintenance, software installation, upgrading, and support, Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10), computer deployments and system imaging (SCCM).

  • Skills/Abilities: Strong customer service skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work effectively on a team and with the customer community; Skill in troubleshooting, analysis and problem solving.

  • Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED

  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office environment.

  • Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail.

  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE.

  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust, or fumes.

  • Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and on-call.

  • Standing: 10% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

  • Sitting: 90% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

  • Lifting (in pounds): up to 25 pounds

  • Pushing (in pounds): up to 50 pounds

  • Mental/Visual: use of computer, calculator

  • Workspace (line, cube, etc): cubicle/desk
