What Will Your Job Look Like?

The Dispatcher is responsible for answering incoming calls from members inquiring about their scheduled transportation. The Dispatcher will analyze trips, ensure a driver is available and provide an estimated arrival time.

This position is 100% onsite

What Youll Do:

  • Work closely with Lead Dispatchers to provide trip updates and estimated time of arrival
  • Assist with Driver Assignments
  • Maintain effective communication with members and Dispatch
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing member inquiries and concerns
  • Keep members informed about the status of their driver and verify all information before disconnecting
  • Ensure that all transportation operations comply with procedure and eligibility
  • Collaborate with Dispatch/Supervisor if passengers experiencing issues or have grievances
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with transportation providers
  • Provide feedback to leadership and Management on transportation providers performance
  • Practice and follow all compliance guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

What Youll need:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Even better if you have...

  • 2+ years in transportation routing, dispatching, and scheduling expertise, preferred
  • 1 year experience working with the applicable transit scheduling system, preferred
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including weather-related disruptions, unexpected delays, or unforeseen issues
  • Seek opportunities to enhance transportation processes, streamline operations, and improve efficiency
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients, drivers, and vendors
  • Ability to work well with others and be a team player
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of GPS and GIS systems preferred
  • Good organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner
  • Skilled in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft applications
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective use of scheduling software, communication and data analysis skills
