Job Description

::: {dir="ltr"} As a Skilled Electrician (Electrician A), you will be a member of the department's operating team and will be responsible for operating/using complex electrical tools, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment. You will work in an environment that promotes mutual respect, teamwork, employee involvement and continuous improvement.

 

For External Hires: $1500 Sign-on bonus paid out in two increments as follows: $750 paid out at 30 days, $750 paid out at 90 days.  

 

Starting pay rate is $41.42 an hour! At 6 months of employment you will you get a pay increase and after a year and a half you will be at top pay rate which is $43.83 an hour.

 

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
  • Work from circuit diagrams and SOP's, when available, and recommends alterations to Lead Electrician or other appropriate departmental personnel.
  • May be asked to assume duties of Lead Electrician when absent.
  • Recognize operational irregularities on equipment of processes, accurately determines the cause and takes appropriate corrective actions.
  • Assist Lead Electrician with providing training to other departmental personnel/apprentices/co-ops/2YD.

     

REQUIREMENTS: ?

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-year degree in electrical controls or electronics.
  • Must have 2 years of Industrial Electrician experience.
  • Must have completed at least five years of industrial electrical maintenance work or relevant military experience.
  • A completed approved four-year apprentice program will also be considered.
