Job Description

Assist in the day to day operations of the Maintenance in the Supported Housing department. Evaluates apartments to determine if any maintenance or repairs needs to be perform.

Essential Accountabilities:

  • Assist the supervisors to ensure that the apartments are in a state of good repair and in compliance with all fire life safety codes by conducting on site inspections.

  • Responsible for ensuring that emergencies and unsafe conditions at the apartments are immediately addressed.

  • . Maintains inventory reports on all materials used.

  • Competing work orders and maintaining records of al! completed work.

  • Weekly meeting with immediate supervisor.

  • Required to carry agency communication device.

  • Responsible for all agency equipment assigned.

  • Attends certificate and non-certificate classes given on an annual basis.

  • Flexible hours during emergencies such as snow weather, including weekends.

  • Required to drive to various locations.

  • Keeps appropriate records of all work performed and ensures that all necessary paperwork is timely completed.

  • Participates in ongoing training and attends regularly scheduled staff meetings.

  • Responsible for requisitioning necessary tools, supplies, or equipment and responsible for ensuring that work environment is safe.

  • Required to be on 24-hour call for emergency situations.

  • Required to paint, garbage removal, replace door and locks.

  • Required to Transport and assist in apartment relocation.

  • Required to complete apartment inspections and make sure all safety devices are in working order. 18. Setting up Supported Housing apartment for site visit.

Supported Housing Service Specialist - Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM

High School diploma or equivalency diploma; or 5 years' experience in maintenance Valid NYS driver license. Supervisory experience preferred.
