The Hilliard Corporation Project Engineer (Drive Train) in ELMIRA, New York

Title: Development/Project/Product Engineer Development/Project/Product Engineer shall be responsible for development, design, and testing of the product line. The development and design duties shall include but not be limited to the following:Research into materials and technologies along with application of original ideas to develop solutions for product applications.Develop optimum performance on new and existing products. Report performance and data in useful formats that can be used by sales and marketing.Support design and development of test stands for product evaluation and development.Analyze and Troubleshoot field problems and complaints as required. Travel to site or customer as required.The candidate shall support the Manufacturing Engineering effort on the product line. The Manufacturing support duties shall include but not be limited to:Provide support Analyzing and troubleshooting manufacturing problems on new products.Make scrap and rework recommendations on non-conforming products.Work and support product and process cost reduction efforts.The Engineer shall support the direct sales and marketing effort on the product line. The sales marketing support duties shall include but not be limited to:Provide technical support to Marketing as required for literature development.Provide sales support through training and customer calls.Analyze application data to assist with sizing and product selection.Requirements:BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. Accept direction and projects from Director of the Division or immediate supervisor.Maintain cooperative and open communication with all personnel and departments.Excel, Pro-E, AutoCAD, Inventor and Word are a plus.Domestic and international travel is required to meet the above requirements.Be able to perform duties in an ever-changing fast paced environment.Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
